Refund Policy

Returns:
We are happy to offer size exchanges, color exchanges or design exchanges on any item you receive that does not fit correctly, but you will have to pay for return shipping to us and then the cost of shipping the new item out to you. Our policy lasts 14 days from the date you received the order. If 14 days have gone by since you received your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging (plastic sleeve) in the return shipment. It can be opened and tried on, but has to be repacked to return.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. These goods include but are not limited to:
Accessories
Base Layer Bottoms
Gift cards
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase in the return.
There are certain situations where only partial or no refunds are granted (anywhere from a 10-100% loss depending on the situation and condition of the item):
Any item not in its original packaging and/or condition.
Any item that is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our own error.
Any item that is shipped to be returned more than 14 days after delivery.
Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your return. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund due to the deadline times, items condition, packaging, original purchase value etc.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed as a store credit, with the credit code being emailed to your email within 5 business days of emailing you. *THE ONLY TIME A CASH/CREDIT REFUND WILL BE GIVEN IS IF THE ITEM YOU HAVE PURCHASED IS NOT AVAILABLE TO SHIP TO YOU AND YOU DO NOT WISH TO TAKE A REPLACEMENT ITEM OF EQUAL OR LESSER VALUE.
Late or missing refunds:
If you haven’t received your store credit/refund yet, first check the email you used to place your order for the store credit or your bank account/PayPal for the cash refund.
If you do not see your store credit in your email or your cash refund in your bank/PayPal then contact us first. If we have not responded within 24 hours then please contact your credit card company or PayPal. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at informalapparel@gmail.com.
Sale items:
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded and are final sale at the time of purchase.
Exchanges:
We replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a defective/damaged item for the same item in the same colorway/size, send us an email to informalapparel@gmail.com. We can also exchange full-priced items if they do not fit right, but you have to pay for both directions of shipping related to the exchange as well as a 15% restocking fee for the item you are exchanging. Unfortunately with the limited numbers of items we make, the item you purchased might already be sold out in the size you purchased or want to exchange for and so we are at this time unable to do an exchange for your piece.
*YOU MUST GET CONFIRMATION AND APPROVAL FROM US BEFORE RETURNING ANY ITEM TO US.
When exchanging, we will provide you with the address to send your shipment to.
Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. Or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves so that they could give it to you, we will send the gift giver a gift credit for the value of the return.
Shipping:
To return your product, you should mail your product to the address we provide.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. Please be aware of this.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item and we do not protect or insure returns/exchanges.
